Jim Leonhard Leadershp Advisor, Jim Leonhard Jim has worked nearly 40 years as an executive in large, medium and small for-profit businesses, including the last 19 years leading and managing his own companies. He is now utilizing his varied experience to help executives hone their leadership skills, and their organizations to adapt to change. More about Jim: Recently, Jim moved to the Sacramento, California region after working as a business broker in the San Francisco Bay area. Jim spent 19 years in the telecommunications industry as an entrepreneur leading and managing his own organizations – the last 10 years as President of vorCOMM Communications, a domestic and international telecommunications consultancy. He also was founder and CEO of OptiMisers, Inc., a successful domestic telecommunications cost management firm that he successfully sold after 9 years of operation. Prior to that, Jim was a Partner in an international consulting firm providing economic and business counsel to a variety of clients. Earlier in his career, he worked in manufacturing including 5 years as Sr. VP and General Manager for a $20 million division of International Paint (a division of Courtaulds, Ltd at the time). Jim has also held executive positions in marketing, business and product development, and international operations with FMC Corporation and Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. Throughout his career, Jim has led organizations and built effective relationships with successful business owners and executives, attorneys, accountants, transaction specialists and financial advisors. His first-hand experience in many industries allows him to add significant value to almost any operation. Jim is always prepared to apply his business expertise and energy to get results for his clients. He enjoys working along side executives, business owners and entrepreneurs to reach their goals faster and with greater success than they imagined was possible. Jim has a Masters in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School and a BES in Chemical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University. He is a licensed California real estate agent. |
