Eileen Cuskaden is an accomplished professional in the fields of education and not-for-profit management. She has more than 20 years of experience in program development and evaluation; grants administration; instructional and training materials design; resource development and communication to a wide array of professional audiences. For thirteen years she was the Program Director, Senior Vice President and Chief Executive of Very Special Arts (VSA), an international arts and education organization affiliated with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.

In these positions she was instrumental in developing, overseeing and training VSA’s network of 50 not-for profit state affiliates. Her expertise included oversight of a multi-million dollar federal grant program; development, implementation and evaluation of innovative arts and education programs for national and international dissemination; and development of instructional, curricular and training materials for artists, educators, parents and other professional groups. She has served on numerous local and state level committees and boards.

Eileen specializes in leadership development activities that enable educational institutions and not-for-profit organizations to achieve insightful, effective leadership by leveraging the talent at their disposal to achieve a strategic position and realize their mission. A dynamic presenter and facilitator, Eileen utilizes the unique approaches developed by Leadership Solutions and her background as an educational psychologist, teacher, and presenter at numerous national and international colloquia to assist organizations meet their goals.

Added to her expertise in the not-for-profit arena, Eileen has experience in educational policy at the national level and for- profit educational endeavors at the local level. She was a fellow at the US Department of Education; an intern at the US Senate Subcommittee on Education; and director of two for profit educational institutions.

Eileen possesses a Bachelor of Arts in English and Master of Science and University Specialist’s degrees in Educational Psychology from the State University of New York, Albany.

She resides in Delray Beach, Florida with her husband.
